This inspirational quote has always spoken to me. We as women must celebrate our accomplishments, both small and large and love ourselves even with the imperfections we see in ourselves.
I dedicate this year , this special day to my wonderful and beautiful daughter Megan, she is 29 and in november 2019 she closed her business, which was doing very good , she was a groomer for dogs and cats, to go back to school to become a nurse, she is still doing her courses, and its hard with the covid, and is working in the mean time at the hospital as a Préposée aux bénéficiaires till she finish her courses, she is brave and courageuse, bravo ma fille je t`aime, MOM xoxo
Women everyday break glass slippers! The Shepherd’s team have done this! Through the COVID19 pandemic, they have continued their fashion capsules. With attitude and class they do their part to continue to promote women entrepreneurs and Canadian designers. Your positivity is contagious. Happy International Women’s Day.

I had the privilege of seeing Maya Angelou recite this and other poems in person a few years before she passed – such an incredibly inspiring gift I was given. It is as if Marlene Shepherd and the superhero women of Shepherd’s use this poem as a mantra for the work they do, sending loudly and clearly the message through their fashion shows, workshopping sessions and promotion of women artists – that we are all phenomenal women.
