Q: Will you tell us a little bit about your journey so far?
Growing up very sheltered in Bombay, India, I had no clue that I would later become a diplomatic spouse and have the opportunity to live in and experience so many different cultures and countries, including Damascus, London, Vienna, Dublin, Copenhagen, and Ottawa. I cherish beautiful memories of each and every location.
Q: What is your style philosophy?
I really enjoy clothing, especially when it is well-tailored with sleek lines and an understated sex appeal.
Q: Flats or heels?
Heels! Not stiletto high but a few inches instantly makes me feel more assertive, womanly and on par with others to communicate and make myself feel present. It's very psychological, I know!
Q: What accessory(ies) can you not live without?
My rings. They were all very good purchases because I still love them to this day; they remind me of the time spent in so many different places.
Q: What challenges do you face when dressing your petite silhouette?
Finding clothing that I both like and is available in my size is a challenge. I am not tall, and am a very slender column shape with very little figure to speak of. I often look to tailoring to give me a more feminine shape.
Q: What have you discovered about yourself since starting at Shepherd's?
I have always been a classic and conservative dresser. Working at Shepherd's has encouraged me to branch out into what I would term as "a hint of edge." I feel younger, but am still age appropriate. I love it!
Q: What do you love about working at Shepherd's?
My favourite part is seeing the look of delight in a woman's face, and the change in her posture, when she feels good in a particular garment. Helping women find a look that fits her silhouette, lifestyle and budget has me flying high for the whole day. We all know how frustrating shopping can be!
Q: What is at the top of your "Bucket List"?
I would love to go to the Burning Man festival in Nevada and, maybe someday, I'll find the courage to sky dive!
